The Sweet Fig variety is a tall banana tree ( 3,50 to 4,50 m ) with a bunch that has a typical appearance and a long and bare rachis ending in a male flower, a contrasting with a bunch of small, closelypacked fruit. The main trunk (the pseudostem) is pale green with a characteristic yellowish tinge.
