FHIA 23 is a synthetic AAAA hybrid with high yield, relatively well tolerant to Fusarium Wilt and Black Strict Virus.

FHIA 23 is fairly average in height (3,50 m to 4,00 m) with a cylindrical bunch of large size, which can produce up to 240 fruit on 10 to 12 hands, weighing up to 50 kg and therefore often needs a stake. The main trunk (the pseudostem) is vigorous and tapered in shape with dark brown, red or black patches. The fruit is creamy, pale green and turns bright yellow when mature. It is suitable both for dessert and cooking purposes.
